Fundraising and sponsored events will raise vital funds for the 2024 Festival and it is tremendously important that each lodge gives careful consideration to planning and holding one or more event each year.
Make it fun
There are many ways of taking part to raise money. You could arrange a social evening, take part in a daring challenge or sign up for a sponsored event – whatever you do, make it fun!
Top Fundraising Ideas
• Organise a quiz night or raffle
• Host a dinner party, BBQ or themed event
• Arrange an evening of music or other entertainment
• Take part in a sponsored challenge like a skydive, cycle ride or mountain climb
Make it easy
Setting up an online fundraising page takes just a few minutes and is an easy way for your friends and family to sponsor you. All the donations will go directly into the 2026 Festival Relief Chest, saving you time and helping you focus on your fundraising!
Sharing your page through social media or email is a great way to build momentum and keep your friends up-to-date.
We understand that not everybody is online, so our sponsorship and Gift Aid forms make it easy to collect donations in person.
Make it worth more
If your donors are UK taxpayers, the MCF can claim an extra 25p for every £1 they give. It won’t cost the donor any extra – all they have to do is make a Gift Aid declaration.
